Tim-bor Insecticide is an EPA registered termiticide and insecticide for use by professional Pest Control Operators. Tim-bor is a unique product for the protection and remedial treatment of wood against all wood destroying organisms.
Application of Tim-bor must be part of an Integrated Pest Management (IPM) Strategy. Problems which led to the infestation must be corrected, such as correcting moisture leaks, providing adequate ventilation and moisture barriers. After the treatment, inspections should be performed on a regular basis and additional preventative spray treatments of Tim-bor (up to 4) can be made. Each additional treatment will increase the borate loading and penetration into the wood, further protecting it from insect and fungus attack.
A U.S. Borax® product, Tim-bor is a soluble inorganic borate salt (powder) with insecticidal and fungicidal properties.
When diluted with water, Tim-bor can be used in damp or wet wood as a remedial treatment of already infested wood, or as a preventative treatment.
A Tim-bor aqueous solution can be used for surface protection on dry wood.
As a dry powder, Tim-bor can be used to control insects in concealed areas such as wall cavities.
